TIPS and Tricks to Adjust the Level of Difficulty
To Make an Adventure Easier...
- Substitute larger coins such as quarters or nickels in place of the pennies (not included).
- Substitute clothespins instead of binder clips.
- Use putty or exercises bands with less resistance (not included).
- Eliminate portions of the adventure and only complete the visual motor portions. Look for the "pencil" icon.
To Make an Adventure More Challenging...
- Incorporate the "Challenge Activities". Look for the "stars" icon on each adventure card.
- Substitute dimes in place of the pennies (not included).
- Use higher resistance putty and exercise bands (not included).
- Add additional directions to the adventures such as writing or typing about a story.
- Use Adventure Card A for additional creative play ideas.
- Use Adventure Card B to practice drawing an additional part of an adventure and writing words and name.
Build Executive Functioning Skills and use the "Self-Check" Icon to remind the student to pay specific attention to a particular task or direction.
